ACM Partner Training

Does bringing confidence to your school feel like a large undertaking? We’ve got you covered! At ACM, we know that teachers, administrators, and school staff already have a lot on their plate. With this in mind, we’ve created a user-friendly, pre-recorded training to help prepare ACM partner schools in their implementation of our curriculum.

 

Overview of Training

Our training, comprised of 5 modules with on-demand videos, can be completed as a school or individually and covers all of the essential information needed to teach from A Confident MindsetTM curriculum. Upon completion of the training, participating staff members will receive a Confidence Coach certificate, endorsing their ability to teach the ACM program.

Module 1

Redefining Confidence

In Module 1, you’ll learn about ACM’s redefinition of confidence and its significance. This module will set the scene for the rest of the course material and help you develop a foundational knowledge to begin implementing the ACM curriculum. Module 1 covers topics such as “Why Confidence?” “Factors that Affect Confidence” and “How to Explain Confidence to a Child.”

Module 2

Confidence as a Mindset

Module 2 takes a deeper look at some common misconceptions associated with confidence. In this module, we’ll discuss the important distinction between skillset and mindset, and how viewing confidence as a mindset can unlock the power of Why Not. This module will also introduce the ACM framework that will be broken down in future modules.

The ACM Common Language

This module is a crash course on the ACM Common Language: a set of terms that will be used throughout the program and will help you build a Community of Confidence in your school. This module includes a video for each of the 6 Common Language terms to ensure that you know how to use them within the curriculum.

Six Steps Toward Developing Confidence

In this module, you’ll take a deep dive into each of the 6 steps that make up the ACM framework. Each video in this module breaks down 1 of the 6 steps, how it can be taught, and what it looks like in action. This module includes information on how teachers can teach using the provided materials as well as insight into what a typical ACM lesson looks like.

The Six Steps in Action

Module 5 provides a look at the ACM journey from beginning to end, incorporating all 6 steps and common language learned. This module aims to provide an example of how a child can grow using the ACM curriculum. Module 5 also includes a wrap up video as well as reminders about the course.
