A Confident Mindset⢠(ACM) was created with one mission: instill unstoppable confidence in every learner nationwide.
Founder Namita Prasad was inspired by her own confidence journey. From a young age, her military father encouraged her to approach life with a âwhy notâ attitude.Â
As Namita navigated major life changesâmoving to a new country, pursuing new careers, and becoming a motherâshe saw how much this mindset positively shaped the way she faced challenges. Feeling grateful for the confidence education she received at home, Namita set out to create confidence-building programs to bring the same life-changing tools she had as a child to children nationwide.
Namitaâs book, The Power of Why Not: A Guide to Raising Children Who Are Happy, Kind, and Successful, introduces the Six-Step Framework for building confidenceâthe foundation of the ACM School Program, the ACM Confidence Coach⢠Certification, and the EPIC Parenting Course.

The A Confident Mindset⢠Journey
2015
The very first confidence-building workshop is launched, planting the seed of what would become A Confident Mindsetâ˘.
2016
The vision expands into schools with after-school programs at Brookfield Academy in Troy, MI, giving students their first taste of structured confidence-building beyond the classroom.
2017â2019
Momentum builds as ACM programs grow across Troy Public Schools in Oakland County, MI. Strong feedback from parentsâmany asking for more opportunitiesâfuels the expansion and confirms the need for a program that equips children with courage, character, and commitment.
2020
The outcomes of the programs, parent insights, and the challenges of the Covid year bring a pivotal realization: confidence must be taught not just as an after-school program but as a mindsetâa way of thinking that empowers students to thrive no matter the challenge.
2021
The groundwork is laid for the ACM School Program. A team of educators, psychologists, and researchers collaborate to reimagine the program into a schoolwide, research-based model designed to reach every child.
2022
Founder Namita Prasad publishes The Power of Why Not, a bestseller that shares her story and the six-step framework behind A Confident Mindset⢠with the world. The ACM School Program launches at Birch Grove University Prep and Oakland Childrenâs Academy Montessori, marking the beginning of full-school integration.
2023
The ACM Confidence Coach⢠Certification is introduced, equipping educators, parents, and leaders to bring confidence-building into their own communities.
2024
The ACM School Program reaches Detroit Public Schools, beginning with 5th grade at Fisher Lower Magnet Academy.
2025
A milestone year: Fisher Lower Magnet expands to a school-wide launch of the ACM program, and the EPIC Parenting Course is introduced to empower families to foster confidence at homeâbringing the movement full circle from children to communities.
From a single workshop to a worldwide movement, A Confident Mindset⢠continues to growâproving that when confidence is taught as a mindset, every child, parent, and educator can say âWhy not?â to opportunities once thought out of reach.
